What are "or equal" alternatives to a 2 x 4-1/2 center-set storefront like Kawneer Trifab 451?

Short answer: most major US storefront manufacturers make a 2 x 4-1/2 in. center-set system glazed for 1 in. insulating glass in the same class as Trifab 451, including Arcadia, Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope, Tubelite, EFCO and CRL-U.S. Aluminum.

Check before calling it equal

• Thermal or non-thermal. A thermally broken series is an upgrade, not an equal, and is priced differently.
• Glass plane. Center, front or back set, and multi-plane options, change the look and the details.
• Glazing pocket and infill range. Make sure the specified glass thickness fits.
• Performance data. Air, water, structural and thermal test results against the spec.
• Finish and entrances. Matching finishes and door/frame compatibility.

The service maps specific series across manufacturers, with verification tags, and flags discontinued products.
